I would encourage every resident to have their say in the Government's new consultation on Heathrow expansion

The Government has opened a consultation on Heathrow expansion and I would encourage every resident in Uxbridge and South Ruislip to have their say.

I will be honest, I remain sceptical that expansion can be delivered without significant consequences for our community that have not yet been properly thought through. Pressure on the Elizabeth line, local roads, noise, air quality and the local environment are not abstract concerns in my constituency. They are the reality of daily life for thousands of residents here who live right next to Heathrow.

As someone who has been raising these concerns for years, I will be contributing my views to this consultation and I think it is vital that local voices are heard in this process. The Government must not make a decision of this magnitude without properly accounting for the communities most affected.

The consultation runs until 1st September 2026 so please do take the time to contribute. This is your opportunity to tell the Government directly what Heathrow expansion would mean for you.
