What I was up to in April
I’m delighted to share the first edition of my monthly newsletter. It’s been a busy nine months since being elected – as promised, I've got a constituency office up and running (in Yiewsley), dealt with over 4,100 cases from residents, and hit the ground running in Parliament and the constituency.

In and around Uxbridge and South Ruislip
I have been deeply concerned by reports over the past month about an increase in anti-social behaviour in South Ruislip and Ruislip Manor. I invited Kaya Comer Schwartz – the Deputy Mayor of London for Crime and Policing – to join me and the local police for a walk around the area. We spoke with residents who had been affected by crime, as well as retailers and business owners who are bearing the brunt of shoplifting and anti-social behaviour. I also presented her with the results of my recent crime survey, completed by residents. The Deputy Mayor assured me that she will take these findings back to City Hall.
That same week, I hosted a Community Safety drop-in in Ruislip Manor. The event brought together the local police, Neighbourhood Watch, home security organisations, and members of the local community. It was a chance for residents to find out more about how they can feel safer and keep safe in their homes and on our streets.
Later that week, I joined the Metropolitan Police on a ride-along in the community. I saw first-hand the hard work the force puts in every day to keep us safe and the challenges the Met is currently facing.
I was also lucky enough to visit BM Youth Football Academy. While the players certainly put my football skills to shame, it always fills me with pride to see just how brilliant our local grassroots football clubs and facilities are here in Uxbridge and South Ruislip.
I look forward to working with BM Youth Football Academy to ensure they can continue delivering their fantastic work.
Meanwhile in Parliament....
April was another busy month in Parliament – making sure your voices are heard in Westminster.
I met with the Managing Director and other senior officials of FirstPort – the managing company responsible for multiple developments in the constituency, including St. Andrews, Sherleys Court, and Armstrong House.
I have been dismayed to hear about the horrendous treatment of leaseholders here in Uxbridge and South Ruislip. I took these issues straight to the top, demanding answers. FirstPort have assured me they will be working on a solution. I will continue to challenge them until residents receive the treatment they deserve. Meanwhile, this Government is pressing ahead to end the feudal leasehold system.
I raised the horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir, where at least 28 Hindu civilians were killed – leaving a deep and lasting impact on the Indian community globally. I asked the Minister what is being done to ensure justice is delivered for those affected by this tragedy. As the situation continues to develop, I will use my voice in Parliament to advocate for all communities impacted by the escalating situation.
I was delighted to welcome the University of the Third Age to Parliament. The organisation brings together people from across our community to expand their skills and interests in later life.
I always enjoy welcoming people from the constituency to Westminster so they can see up close what goes on here – if you would be interested in booking a tour, please do get in touch at: danny.beales.mp@parliament.uk

Delivering change in Uxbridge and South Ruislip
I recently visited P3, an organisation based in Yiewsley that offers advice and support for young people in our area – from housing assistance to counselling.
The Government has awarded an impressive £234,100 to enable this dedicated team to continue delivering vital mental health support for young people locally. This Government is serious about investing in our young people here in Uxbridge and South Ruislip.
St Matthew’s Primary School is one of the early adopters of the Government’s Free School Meals programme.
This scheme puts more money in the pockets of parents, offers flexibility for working families, and ensures every child has the best possible start to the day. I met the staff who work tirelessly to deliver breakfast clubs for the children at St Matthew’s and heard first-hand how this Government initiative is transforming life chances for local children.
