Government has issued the council with a Best Value Notice

After repeatedly raising serious concerns about Hillingdon Council, I have now been informed by Minister McGovern that the Government has issued the council with a Best Value Notice.

A Best Value Notice is a formal intervention used when the Government has concerns about the way a council is being run and expects it to address those concerns.

This is a significant development and it shows these concerns are being taken seriously at the highest level. It also speaks to the scale of the problems at Hillingdon Council. Residents in Uxbridge and South Ruislip deserve better and I will keep pushing for the accountability and improvement this community needs.
